CHAMBLEE, Ga. – Broad Street Antique Mall is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a large expansion and upgrade of facilities.
In the summer of 1979, Broad Street Antique Mall opened in a 6,000 square foot industrial warehouse in Chamblee’s Antique District. Offering quality merchandise and reasonable prices for over 30 years, Broad Street Antique Mall now displays 20,000 square feet of antiques and over 200 showcases of vintage collectibles in a newly remodeled facility.
The mall features an outstanding selection of American and European furniture, art pottery and glass, toys and dolls, early medical and scientific instruments, paintings and prints, advertising and Coca-Cola, postcards and ephemera, old sporting collectibles, silver, vintage jewelry, clocks and Black Americana.
The antique center just completed an expansion into an adjacent suite in the same building. The newly renovated facility is larger and has over 8,000 square feet of additional air-conditioned display areas.
“We are pleased to offer our customers a more comfortable shopping experience, particularly in the summer months,” mall owner Syl Turner said. “The move was a major undertaking. In addition to hundreds of pieces of furniture and showcases, we had to move thousands of small, fragile items. Plus with the additional floor space, we are adding a lot of fresh inventory.”
