Goldmine Magazine, our sister publication, underwent some pretty impressive changes at the turn of the year. The verdict from subscribers and advertisers has been overwhelmingly positive. The magazine looks super cool and has a broad range of articles, interviews and features for lovers of vintage music memorabilia, vinyl records and even vintage posters. After looking it over the past few weeks I can attest this magazine is a great read – whether you’re into vintage music or not.
Here’s what editor Pat Prince had to say in the first “premier” issue:
“Our readers … told us what they want to see covered in Goldmine, which is the inspiration for our first-ever Readers’ Choice issue. Starting with the Readers’ Choice issue, for which all of the subjects were nominated by and voted upon by you, our readers, Goldmine will move from a mostly black-and-white publication printed on newsprint every two weeks to a full-color magazine printed on full-gloss paper once a month, plus two special bonus issues each year (one of which will be an issue dedicated to this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees).
Goldmine is both an appreciation and celebration of the music and the artists we love. We will continue to give you top-notch content. And now, readers of the new Goldmine will receive more content per issue, as well as an investment in great photos that capture the artists on a quality paper stock that does the artists — and their music — justice. Also, expect more discographies and expanded sections.”
