This hand-made World War II ring-toss game, 5-inches wide by 7-inches high, was created by inventive soldiers, providing themselves with entertainment.

The folk art airplane is made from bullet shells of varying sizes and the game includes metal rings that are to be tossed and caught on the plane.

This unique item was sold by DuMouchelle’s of Detroit on Sept. 17, 2010, to an on-site bidder for $300, flying far above its presale estimate of $75 to $100.
