The Manuscript Society held its Annual Meeting on May 20-24, 2008 in Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona.
Members traditionally look forward to their annual gathering to share the joys of collecting and preserving the bits of history found in the documents they collect and preserve. Local arrangers Herbert Rubin and Edward Oetting say the meeting promises a bevy of attractive venues which will highlight some of the great manuscripts in private and public collections in the region.
A “New Collectors Workshop” was one of the featured events on Saturday, May 23. Led by nationally known experts, the workshop covered a variety of issues including acquisition, authentication, preservation, and other subjects.
