Heart of Country producer Richard E. Kramer dies

Richard E. Kramer, 78

ST. LOUIS — Richard E. Kramer, of Kramer-Hunkins & Associates, producer of the Heart of County Antiques Show held in Nashville, Tenn., died March 11 during setup for Heart of Country. He was 78.

Kramer was born in Atlanta, and reared in Batesville, Ind. In 1952, he married Elizabeth “Libby” Hosmer of St. Louis.

In 1982, after Richard had worked for 30 years in financial services, the couple established Richard E. Kramer & Associates, an event-management firm. Heart of Country was its signature event.

Elizabeth Kramer died in October 2005. Survivors include daughters, Marianne Haskins and Susan Hunkins; son, Thomas Kramer; and four grandchildren.
