DAYTON, Ohio — The Northeastern Spoon Collectors Guild (NSCG) announced that they will host the 2011 souvenir spoon convention in Dayton, Ohio, Sept. 14-17, 2011. This year’s event is themed “Spooners Fly High.”
Dayton, known as the “Birthplace of Aviation,” is the home of the Wright Brothers Museum, The Air Museum at Wright-Patterson Airfield and other museums, is a regional center for antique shoppers and other sightseeing areas of interest.
The convention will feature sightseeing excursions, an auction, swap sessions, display competitions, and informative lectures.
Attendees need not be members of spoon clubs. Two or three dealer-collectors will be available to provide appraisals and information to new collectors.
