POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – After one year of searching for the right building and of planning down to the smallest detail, The Sugar Chest Antique Mall has opened for business.
The mall is in a 30,000 square foot building, making it one of the largest in the area. Staff is selected based on their experience and each one brings a working knowledge of antiques gained throughout the years working at antique shows, auctions and other antique malls, said owner Kathleen Sciortino.
With more than 200 dealer inventories to buy from, customers will be able to find treasures in every area ranging from furniture to paintings, jewelry to porcelain, and much more.
“Our dealers are a diverse group representing the local, national, and international antique marketplace,” Sciortino said. “Each of our dealers has their own specialized area in the antiques arena that they will be offering to the public.”
Sciortino said that some of the merchandise highlighted by the international dealers will be European porcelains, coins, and military pieces. Certain prominent local dealers will be offering a vast array of sterling silver, Art Deco, signed jewelry and ephemera.
The mall will provide other services such as lectures on antiques, chair caning classes and restoration demonstrations. Sciortino noted lectures will be conducted by experts in their respective fields.
The mall is conveniently located on I-95 and can be reached by either Exit 36 (Atlantic Blvd.) or Exit 38 (Copans Rd.). It will be open 7 days a week. While shopping, customers and guests are offered complimentary tea or coffee. The Sugar Chest Antique Mall can be reached by phone at 954-942-8601.
