GREENVILLE, Del. — Although names like Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels were noticeably absent from this year’s Paris Biennale over a dispute regarding exhibition space, pieces from these high-end jewelers will be showcased at the October Jewelry Auction, a collaboration between Pook & Pook Inc. and Stuart Kingston Galleries, in Stuart Kingston’s new Greenville, Delaware location.
The auction begins at 11 a.m. Eastern time. Furthermore, in-house, phone and absentee are acceptable bidding options. In addition, Bidsquare.com will be facilitating Internet bidding.
Animals In Spotlight During Jewelry Auction
More than 150 lots of jewelry will cross the block during this collaborative auction. For the animal lover, the sale will feature fearsome jewel-encrusted leopards and dragons. In addition, bidders can vie for a whimsical frog, dog, and bird. As well as a gazelle decorated with delicate gold and vibrant gemstones.
For bidders with more classic tastes, strands of pearls, tennis bracelets, and diamond studs abound. Most noteworthy, among the lots receiving attention ahead of the sale is a tri-colored rolling ring from Cartier in the trinity style designed by Louis Cartier and favored by the Duchess of Cambridge, as well as a foliage inspired pin by Van Cleef & Arpels studded with diamonds and 23 sapphires.
