COLUMBUS, Ohio – Members of the Tea Leaf Club International held their 28th annual convention Sept. 20-23 at the Doubletree Hotel in Columbus/ Worthington.
Tea Leaf Club members collect early ironstone china featuring the copper luster tea-leaf motif, as well as related designs and Moss Rose-pattern ironstone.
The annual club-sponsored auction offered nearly 300 lots of unusual and rare items. Highlights included an Anthony Shaw basket-weave creamer, $290; a Shaw Sonata mug, $1,100; a Lily of the Valley brush box, $550; a J. Furnival “Loop & Line” sugar bowl decorated with the Cinquefoil motif, $475; an H. Burgess Chrysanthemum brush vase, $700; and a Burgess Chrysanthemum pitcher and bowl set, $575.
