business man and well-known collector in the region, who was affectionately known by several names (Cowboy Bill, Wild Bill, and Cowboy Trading Co.). Lane, who many thought resembled Wild Bill Cody, passed away in October 2014. He was a lifelong collector of pop western memorabilia, vintage bicycles, tricycles, pedal cars, scooters, advertising signs, clocks, early movie posters, and Walt Disney collectibles, among other things. He was also the founder and owner of Commercial Caulking Co. in Richmond, which is now operated by Lane’s son, David.
