NORTHLAKE, Ill. – The Antique American Glass sale will be held on March 10-11 at the Concord Plaza Midwest Conference Center, 401 W Lake St., Northlake, Ill. This will be the 46th year of this event; it is the oldest depression glass show in the United States.
Variety Is Name of Game During American Glass Show
The sale is sponsored by the 20 30 40 Glass Society of Illinois. Society members are collectors of American made depression era glass, handmade glass, pottery, and related material. Proceeds from the show are donated to glass museums that help preserve the American-made glass story.
All weekend there will be a glass identification table. Attendees can bring in glass to be identified. Members will use the club’s extensive reference library to help in the identification. There will also be a crystal repair service. Hourly door prizes and a raffle of antique American glass are added features this year. The winner of the raffle will be drawn late in the day on Sunday; the winner need not be present.
The public is invited during the hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 11. Admission is $8 per person.
