Appraisal & Estate Sale Specialists, Inc. is bringing forward 318 lots to bidders on Dec. 16. The items are part of a Fine Jewelry, Fine Art, Antiques and Coins Auction. The eclectic items hail from various estates located in southern California.
Identifying some potential standout lots is tricky. However, I thought I’d share nine lots that caught my attention.
An original oil painting of actress Jane Russell, completed by famed illustrator Andrew Loomis. It’s completed in 1945. It is painted for promotions of the movie “Young Widow.” A film in which Russell starred in 1946. It carries an estimate of $8,000 to $12,000.
An antique Vienna striking regulator wall clock, restored. It measures 64 inches high by 22 inches wide. It bears an estimate of $2,500 to $3,500.
Book featuring Pablo Picasso’s linocuts, “Grabados Al Linoleo” from 1963. A limited-edition book of 520 copies. All linocuts are present, and it carries an estimate of $2,000 to $3,000.
Lithograph by Thomas Hart Benton “Going Home,” Its pencil signed on the lower right. It carries an estimate of $2,000 to $3,000.
Antique Apache basket measuring 4 inches high by 7 ½ inches wide. It has an estimate of $500 to $750. It is part of the Dec. 16 auction.
Vintage 14k gold bracelet with six amethyst mixed cut stones. The bracelet is among the vintage and contemporary jewelry of this sale.
Ladies 14K gold diamond pendant with a diamond cut rope chain with an estimate of $3,500 to $5,000.
Antique glazed Chinese roof tile featuring a warrior on horseback. The figure is brandishing a shield and a sword. It measures 16 inches tall and has an estimate of $400 to $600.
