The Sarasota Hotel & Marina, 7150 N. Tamiami Trail will host the 2008 Pineapple Antique Show, celebrating 32 years as a Benefit for Charity in Sarasota and Manatee counties March 4-6. Presented by the United Methodist Women of First United Methodist Church, Sarasota, the proceeds benefit many charities in Sarasota and Manatee counties.
A preview party and sale will be held Tuesday evening from 5-7:30 p.m. Cost for the evening will be $15, which also grants admission to the show and sale for Wednesday and Thursday, March 5 and 6.
More than 35 quality antique dealers will feature American and English antiques, fine art, fine jewelry, china, collectibles, crystal, elegant glassware, linens, porcelain, pottery, primitives, toys and more.
The Pineapple Gallery Boutique features antiques and collectibles, artwork, costume jewelry, crafts, and wonderful gifts. The Pineapple Pantry & Market offers homemade cakes, pies, cookies, fudge, breads, jams and jellies. A silent auction will held. There will be door prizes each day.
Advance purchase tickets are available for $10 per person, good for the entire show. Hours on Wednesday are 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m., for $6 ($5 w/coupon) and Thursday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Advance tickets are available at Jack Vinales Antiques in Sarasota, Magnolia Antique Mall in Palmetto and Savantiques in Osprey.
More than $275,000 has been donated to Sarasota and Manatee charities since the show’s inception.
