Antiques at Round Top returns June 26-27

ROUND TOP, Texas — The Big Red Barn Summer Antiques Show will fill with 120 exhibiting dealers and their diverse collection for the weekend of June 25-26 again this summer. Sold out of space for weeks now the Barn promises variety and value for the visitors with exhibits from most parts of the country and Europe.

Melissa Hartman, Birmingham, Ala., offers early English and American antique home furnishings in hardwoods. Fred Cain collects fine early small antiques near his Fort Myers, Fla., home. Brenda Daniel from Athens, Ala., shops in the Northeast for her specialty, early painted furniture.  Connecticut dealer Easter Hill Antiques has early American furniture and an extensive collection of small antiques with early lighting and dining table accessories, which will be available.

Other exhibitors include William Cawood with antique maps and Ruchelle Davis with fine linens for the dining room; both from Rome, Ga. Al Hoops from Finlay, Ohio, and many others from outside the area, know this is a great market for selling to the Texas clientele. Look for continental furniture from several exhibitors who collect their inventories in Europe, and there will be folk art from some Texas dealers and outsider art from the artisans themselves.

Summer at the Big Red Barn is held Saturday, June 26, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s located on 475 South State Highway 237, Carmine, Texas, about two miles south of US-290. It is only a little more than an hour from either Houston or Austin; admission is $5. More information can be found on the website at www.roundtoptexasantiques.com or call Franks at 512-237-4747. ?
