Antiques at the Puyallup Home Show a popular concept

2009 gets off to a fresh start with the return of the Puyallup Home Show to the Western Washington Fairgrounds in Puyallup, Wash., on Jan. 2-4.  This well-established venue for the best in home resources was one of the first events of its kind to recognize the potential in adding antiques and collectibles to its show offerings.  Held in the Fairground’s state-of-the-art Show Plex facility, the Puyallup Home Show now provides space for over 60 antiques and collectibles dealers to showcase their wares.  The concept has proven so popular that booth space sells out fast.

“Antiques dealers are finding that the home show setting has important built-in advantage,” says Dennis Eros of Eros Promotions who was tapped for his expertise in developing the antiques section of the show.  Eros Promotions’ strength in the greater Seattle antiques market has built on its experience in mounting the highly successful series of smaller antiques events at the Warren G. Magnuson Park known as the Sand Point Antiques & Design Market.

“We were very enthusiastic about joining the Puyallup Home Show.  This event has an impressive following.  Thousands of attendees pass through the show each year.  From the outset, our antiques dealers were immediately able to benefit from the huge gate.  The response was terrific.”  Show goers formed a line long before opening hour and made a dash to the antique section before checking out the larger roster of home resources – and vice versa.  It was a win-win situation for all!

With the economy a major concern for all, this year’s show will emphasize money saving solutions for the home – energy efficient window and heating systems, smart ways to cut down on energy use, practical solutions for additional storage space and timely advice on refinancing your home or getting the best loan rate possible in today’s market.  Antiques dealers are also working with customers to help them get the best value for their money.

Due to the size of the show, we are able to offer very affordable booth rates for our dealers.  Eros notes, “While there are still spaces available for the coming January, they fill up fast during the weeks immediately prior to the show.”  To reserve booth space for the January 2009 show, contact Eros Promotions at 360-978-4154.
