BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Lake Champlain Antiques Show returns for its second year at the Sheraton Burlington Exhibition Center on Oct. 3-4. The show, produced by Marvin Getman of New England Antique Shows and sponsored by the Lake Champlain Chamber of Commerce, offers a diverse collection of quality European and American art and collectibles, displayed in a beautiful and intimate setting.
“The participating dealers have been selected for their excellent merchandise,” said Getman. “This is truly a unique show that will appeal to serious or casual antique collectors, locals and tourists alike and an opportunity for all to enjoy the beautiful Northern Vermont foliage at its peak.”
Several of the vendors will be setting up rooms that showcase the extraordinary treasures available. The selection at the show will include folk art, antique jewelry, pottery, Victorian silver, china and glass, antique flora, animal and bird prints dating back to the 19th century, as well as oriental rugs, vanity items, vintage maps and prints and much more.
The show was formerly located in Essex Junction and produced by the Lake Champlain Chamber of Commerce until 2005, when Getman took over and reshaped it into the distinctive event it is today. He moved it to the Burlington Sheraton last year to bring it into a more intimate setting.
The Sheraton Burlington Exhibition Center is located at 870 Williston Road in Burlington, Vermont (802-865-6600). The show is Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The $8 ticket provides admission for both days or the reduced $5 ticket allows admission on Sunday only. Children 16 and under are admitted free.
