New train service makes getting to Atlantique City easier

New direct train service from New York City to Atlantic City will make the trip to Atlantique City easier for residents who travel from New York and Northern New Jersey. The long-awaited ACES direct service began Feb. 6, 2009, with introductory one-way ticket prices set at $50 for coach seats and $75 for first class.

The ACES train (acestrain.com) originates at New York Penn Station. Customers in Northern New Jersey can hop on at the only other stop – Newark, N.J. Long Island residents can take the Long Island Railroad and connect to the train in Manhattan.

“This new ACES train service will literally deliver people to the convention center door in 2 1/2 hours, as the train station is housed inside the Atlantic City Convention Center,” says Eric Bradley, show producer of Atlantique City. “Direct train service combined with Atlantique City’s free furniture shipping within 100 miles makes the trip to Atlantic City a pleasure. No worries about driving in bad weather or traffic jams. Plus, with the special room rate at the Sheraton that is directly across the street-you have the makings for a stress-free weekend away.”
