NEW YORK – The Pier Antiques Show is scheduled for Nov. 17-18 at Pier 94 on the Hudson River. New this year is “Others,” an art show debuting on Pier 92, which presents work created by self-taught artists.
This fall the Pier Antiques Show’s will offer a booth featuring “3,000 Items for Under $300,” organized by veteran dealer Ann Sams of Texas. Sams will also bring her personal collection of tole trays, textiles, quilts, ironstone, porcelain and silver, as well as transferware and WWI-WWII posters.
Arthur Cobin and Vivien Boniuk of Duchess Art and Antiques specialize in New York City-themed collectibles, particularly old New York street signs. Humpback or turtleback in design, these street signs are from the 1920s. Locations include Soho, Tribecca the Lower East Side, Hell’s Kitchen and the Upper West Side.
Alice Lindholm, whose business is called Right to the Moon Alice, will be part of Fashion Alley, the show’s vintage fashion section. She will be offering hand-knit sweaters and coats, and fringed scarves.
