The muskets are loaded but the show must go on

The 20th anniversary of the Fall Antique Show and Sale will be held Nov. 15-16 in Eureka Springs, Ark. Visitors to the special celebration will see a display of many Civil War items from a collector who has participated in numerous re-enactments, been a guest on the History Channel and spoken to schools and other groups. He has an extensive collection and knowledge of this historic event.

The displays will include a wide variety of Civil War items, as well as items dating from prior to the war. Included will be medical and dental instruments such as bullet probes, amputation saws, “Goodyear” syringes, tooth extractors and many other medical items. This will be of particular interest to doctors, nurses, dental personnel due to the primitive equipment used during that time as compared to modern medicine.

An officer in uniform from the Union Army and an officer in uniform from the Confederate Army will entertain and educate guests. There will also be swords, guns, ammunition, photos and many other items to view. This is a rare opportunity to see such a large collection in one place.
