CARY, N.C. – See, learn about, buy and trade at The 5th Annual Triangle Pen Show.
More than 100 exhibitors from around the United States, Europe and Pacific Rim come to Cary to show, sell, buy and trade hundreds of thousands of vintage and new pens.
Buyers can find ornate 1880s Victoriana, 1915 Art Nouveau pens with gold or silver flowers, spider webs, snakes, mother-of-pearl, gems, 1920s bold, colorful Art Deco styles, 1930s Art Moderne streamliners, World War II models, 1950s and 1960s pop art, and desk sets.
The show will offer free evaluation and quick “history” lessons on items brought to the show, and on-site Repairmen will be on hand to regrind nibs, repair or replace non-working parts and make old pens “good as new.”
Daily Seminars will include pen collecting, pen repair and handwriting analysis.
Dates for the show are Friday, June 6, from 1 p.m.-7 p.m.; Saturday, June 7, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, June 8, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission is $10.
