American and German war items sell at Ward auction

Ward Auction and Appraisals, Inc.’s guns, knives, Nazi, and sword auction took place on Dec. 31, 2007-Jan. 1, 2008. With a variety of items and a strong turnout, prices were strong.

Featured items included: a German WWII K43 semi-automatic rifle (stock repaired) ($2,300); a US Inland semi-automatic M1 carbine w/ammo pouch and two clips ($1,600); Imperial helmet marked “Mit Gott Fur Koenig Und Vaterland” with leather lining and a broken chin strap ($650); a US WWII 501st parachute infantry regiment patch “Geronimo” ($500); 842 AT 2-20.jpga US WWII model 1942 paratrooper jump jacket and trousers ($2,100); a Nazi WWII Waffen-SSM43 reversible winter parka ($3,900); a WWII German police dress bayonet made by Alexander Coppell/Solingen ($825); a Nazi WWII postschutz belt buckle ($450); WWII Nazi two cuff titles and a cloth insignia ($825); a gold Nazi WWII German cross ($2,000); a Japanese sword in leather scabbard ($875); a Ka-Bar with stag handle and 3-inch blade and a Gerber Vietnam War-era fighting knife ($850); and three WWII photo albums ($800).
