Williams’ lecture will look at “Three Decades of Decorating Elegant and Comfortable Houses,” based on her new book. Her presentation is included in the cost of admission. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The flag exhibition features selections from the Pierce collection of American parade flags, dating from 1822 to 1945. It celebrates the creativity of the anonymous makers of the small flags created for waving at parades, holiday events and political rallies. Richard Pierce, who has collected more than 200 flags, will be on hand to provide his perspective on the exhibition in a lecture set for Nov. 10 at 2 p.m.
