Detroit’s new face on the auction scene

Stefek’s Auctioneers & Appraisers, is celebrating its first year as an auction house in the Metro Detroit area.  First established in 2000 as an estate sale and moving sale business, conducting personal property liquidations, the company added such specialized services as senior moving and house cleanouts in 2004. Through the encouragement of her clients, Lori Stefek opened the auction house at 18450 Mack Avenue, Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan in early 2008. 

Nov. 19th Stefek’s fourth auction will feature a large Tiffany Studios floral stained glass window, a selection of 18th century miniature portraits on ivory, Rookwood pottery, Roseville pottery, a grouping of cast iron banks, sterling silver by Georg Jensen and Tiffany & Co. and a lovely ceramic jardinière by the famous French glass designer, Emile Galle. Bidding takes place onsite but will also be available through Live Auctioneers online as well as by phone bidding and absentee bidding.
