RENO, Nev. — For two days, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 29-30, 2010, Holabird-Kagin Americana Auctions will host a comprehensive sale of the finest historic and collectible Western Americana.

Well over 2,000 lots will be sold over the course of this two-day event drawing bidders from across the country and around the world. To accommodate the anticipated number of attendees to this sale, it is being held at the Atlantis Resort Casino in Reno, Nev.? ?

Appropriately named “The Western Americana Bonanza Auction,” this sale will feature rare, historic and important offerings from the Mueller Western photographic collection, Gil Schmidtmann’s Nevadianna collection, John Woodward’s ingot collection, the Bill Weber collection and the Marshal Fey gaming collection. This event is an opportunity to bid on and buy from the most renowned Western Americana collections.? 

The Al Mueller collection is one of the most significant Western photographic collections ever compiled and represents his years of devoted collecting. The historic photographs of Nevada and life in the West span decades beginning with the 1880s.? ?

The extensive postal history and Nevadianna collection of Gil Schmidtmann will captivate collectors across the board as will the ingot collection that comes to the block from expert and collector John Woodward and the collection of Bill Weber.? ?
