This sale will include what is perhaps some of the best material from the late great collector/magician’s legendary holdings. Most of the items will be sold with no reserve. The auction will include genuinely rare and historically significant ephemera, books, apparatus, scrapbooks, posters and memorabilia.

Magicians represented in the sale include: Harry Houdini, Howard Thurston, Harry Kellar, Charles Bertram, Alexander, Adelaide & Leon Herrmann, T. Nelson Downs, The Great Lafayette, Dai Vernon, John Henry Anderson, Arnold DeBierre and many more.

Highlights of the sale include Dai Vernon’s famous “Twenty Dollar Manuscript,” Houdini challenges and memorabilia, scarce lithographs, apparatus with significant historical association, and antiquarian books on conjuring. Many items in the sale are one-of-a-kind rarities that have never been offered at auction before.

The auction is scheduled for Sunday, April 26, 2009, at the Hyatt Regency Woodfield Hotel, Schaumburg, Ill. Previews will be held April 25, also at the Hyatt.
