Casino chip collectors prepare for ‘winning’ convention

LAS VEGAS — The Casino Chip and Gaming Token Collectors Club Inc. (CC&GTCC) is announcing its seminar presentation lineup for the 21st annual convention June 19-22 at the Southpoint Hotel Casino & Spa, 9777 Las Vegas Blvd. South., Las Vegas.

At 9 a.m. Thursday, June 20, Dr. David Schwartz of UNLV will present a talk on gambling history research frustrations. At 3 p.m., Mr. Charles Kaplan will present “Chipguide — The Future is Now.” At 9 a..m. Friday, June 21, Kaplan will present “Chip Scannin 101.” At 3 ccgtcc_seal_smlp.m., Gene Trimble and Ed Hertel will give an encore presentation on illegal casinos and their chips.

This year’s convention is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the founding of the CC&GTCC and the 21st convention as well. The showroom floor is open to the public starting on Thursday, June 20, and admission is $10. (Friday, June 21 admission is $5; Saturday, June 22 admission is free.)
