Gold Rush setting the stage for spring picking

ROCHESTER, Minn. — This year marks the 41st year of the Gold Rush antiques market, and to celebrate, organizers are adding a new arts and crafts area featuring the work of regional artists and crafters.

Gold Rush, set for May 10-12 at the Olmstead County Fairgrounds, is an indoor/outdoor antique and flea market event featuring more than 1,300 dealers located in 10 buildings,

as well as outdoor booths across 52 acres. Gold Rush draws many dealers and shoppers from across the U.S. and Canada. In fact, a crew from the PBS hit show “Market Warriors” attended Gold Rush in 2012 and made several purchases. The segment showing the items picked at Gold Rush is scheduled to air on PBS Monday, April 15, 2013. Gold Rush show hours are Friday and Saturday – buildings and grounds open from 8 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. There is no admission fee to the show, and parking is $5.
