OLEY, Pa. – The 2012 Antiques in the Valley show brings together 60 highly regarded antiques dealers into the “Oley Valley Middle School.” This air-conditioned facility affords dealers spacious room settings to display their select antiques. The facility also allows attending crowds a relaxed atmosphere in which to shop.
This is the eighth year for the show and enthusiastic attendees continue to enjoy the rural Oley atmosphere, its people, its treasures and its food.
While in Berks County, show attendees continue to mention their enjoyment while visiting the many historical sites, early homesteads and covered bridges that can be found just a mile or two from the show.
In 1983, Oley Township was placed on the National Register of Historic Places as a Historic District: “The first rural municipality in America to be listed in its entirety.”
This year, Antiques in the Valley will present, in the lobby and auditorium, a treasured loan exhibit: “Exploring the Civil War in Berks County.” The Historical Society of Berks County is the presenter and will lecture on this critical time in our nation’s history.
The show is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 15 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 16.
The Oley Valley Middle School is located at 3247 Friedensburg Rd., Oley, PA 19547. Admission is $10 per person. A portion of the show proceeds benefit Scholarships to worthy Oley Valley students. For additional show information visit Antiques In The Valley.
