SANDWICH, Ill. — “Let’s bring Sandwich Antique Market back to its former glory,” says show promoter Jeanne Cappi of JLC Antique Show Management Inc. This is all starting with the first show of the season, Sunday, May 19, 2013, at the Sandwich Fairgrounds in Sandwich, Ill.
As people are returning to antique shows and antique shops, many collectors want to get out in the fresh air, while they pick up and touch antiques again, Cappi said.
“Come join us, bring your family, explore, find treasures and purchase wonderful antiques,” she went on to say. “Now is the time to start the next generation collecting.”
Cappi maintains that antique dealers want the same thing she does: a quality show. She is pledging to make this show more buyer and dealer friendly. She also realizes the public want real antiques, and the Sandwich Antique Market offers a mix of everything from primitives to fine antiques.
The full Sandwich Antique Market schedule for 2013 is: May 19, June 23, July 28, Aug. 18, Sept. 22 and Oct. 27.
Held rain or shine, the all-Sunday show hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 per person, and children 12 and under are free. Early buyers can pay $10 to come during dealer set-up on Saturdays. (Dealer set-up starts at 10 a.m.)
Dealers should check www.antiquemarkets.com periodically for updated information. Currently dealers have the opportunity to save 50 percent on two future 2013 shows, when they pay to set up at the May show.
