Appraisals to be performed in exchange for donations

BRIMFIELD, Mass. — Michael Hansen, a noted North Carolina antique dealer and collector with over 38 years of experience, will be offering verbal appraisals during the Sept. 8-13 Central Park Antique Show in Brimfield, Mass. There is no admission fee.

Mr. Hansen is a Qualified Graduate of Uniform Standards of Professional Practice taught by Appraisal Course Associates of Washington, D.C. He has been a featured expert on Czech, German, English and Japanese Lusterware for Kovel’s Flea Market Finds. He has also been a featured expert in numerous antiques, collectibles, toys and Lusterware publications.
Michael has conducted appraisal fairs for several North Carolina organizations including First Charter Banks, Metrolina and Greensboro Antique Shows. His appraisal specialties include pre-1970 toys, vintage dolls, pottery, pattern and art glass, Lusterware, Mary Gregory, Heisey, comic books and general antiques.

Oral appraisals will be conducted on Sept. 10 from Noon until 5 p.m.

No offers to purchase will be made by the appraiser. There is a limit of two items per family.

In lieu of a fee, Mr. Hansen is requesting a $5 donation to the American Cancer Society. A representative from the American Cancer Society will be on hand to accept the donations.
