CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Step back in time and experience “Everything Old Is New Again” at the Cedar Rapids Antique Show and Collector’s Fair April 26-28, 2013. Now in its 57th year, this special, three-day event will be held at Hawkeye Downs Main Exhibition Building (just off I-380, Exit #17), located at 4400 6th Street SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Whether you are looking for something special to add to your home décor or to your collection, the 114th Cedar Rapids Antique Show and Collectors Fair has something for every collector. More than 50 exhibitors will be offering an eclectic mix of quality and variety. It’s exciting for show patrons to see the wide variety and impressive antiques in every category: from Depression glass to Tiffany, costume to fine jewelry, postcards to posters, holiday collectibles, prints, furniture of all kinds and more. According to Richard Townsend of Townsend Promotions, “You name it, it’s there.”
Townsend continues, “This is a popular show for dealers;” he estimates 35 percent of the dealers have been with them since day one. Townsend explains, “It’s an easy show for veteran or older dealers to do” because they can drive in at set-up and take-down. “It’s very convenient. They have a whole day to set up: from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. on Thursday, and from 8-10 a.m. on Friday.”
Admission is just $6 and is good all three days of the show; patrons can come and go as often as they wish. Hours of the show Friday and Saturday will be 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. [Mention this news release in Antique Trader and receive $1 off one admission.]
Hawkeye Downs offers plenty of free parking to exhibitors and show-goers, and the on-site concessions stand has good food and an eating area for everyone to indulge. For more information on the Cedar Rapids Antique Show and Collector’s Fair, contact 641-832-2700, 507-269-1473 or email@example.com.
