LEBANON, Ind. — Northstar Collective will bring together three collector shows in one place, at one time with the Boone County Treasure Hunt, Sept. 23-24.
New Event Featuring Familiar Names
The show’s newest addition is the Indy Antique Advertising Show, which Northstar Collective recently purchased from Bruce and Donna Weir, owners of B & D Promotions. The Weirs and the B&D Promotions team had produced the Indy Ad show since 2010. The show is in its 45th year and is one of the longest running antique advertising shows in the country. The Indy Advertising Show, one of the three shows in the Boone County Treasure Hunt, is slated to feature more than 300 booths.
Rounding out the Boone County Treasure Hunt is the Boone County Gas & Oil show and the Boone County Vintage Market. The Boone County 4H Fairgrounds in Lebanon, Indiana, located 20 miles northwest of Indianapolis, is the location of the Treasure Hunt. The Boone County Gas & Oil show will feature items of early and vintage petroliana, while antique and vintage advertising will be offered during the Indy Ad Show, and various vintage, retro, and repurposed objects filling the space of the Boone County Vintage Market.
Advertising Auction Part of Boone County Treasure Hunt Festivities
Antique Advertising Auction is an extra benefit of the Treasure Hunt. The sale will take place at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23. The auction will feature advertising and petroliana items. 326 Auctions will facilitate.
Admission is $8 and is good for all three events. Show hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24.
In addition to the events featured in the Boone County Treasure Hunt, Northstar Collective also owns and produces the Antique Sporting and Advertising Show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the Minocqua Antique Market, held in Minocqua, Wisconsin, and The Gateway Gas & Advertising Show, another recent acquisition. The company owns six shows in all.
