vintage bridle

This Wyoming penitentiary-made hitched-braided horsehair bridle sold for $3,163 at High Noon. It is decorated with multicolored geometric diamond patterns in pink, green, yellow and red outlined in a bold black border and sharp black diamonds and zigzags. Its closed reins and romal has 13 natural white tassels and one replaced red yarn tassel on the romal. Glass and nickel rosettes depict horse and rider on the browband with dog heads on the noseband. It is marked inside “Crockett” on the nickel and copper overlaid gal leg port bit. All bridle photos courtesy High Noon Auctions
