BURR RIDGE, Ill. – Ever wonder about that stuff you inherited … or better yet, what it may be worth?
Mastro Auctions will open its doors the second Monday of each month for free evaluations and consignment opportunities.
The first Monday this service will be available is March 10, from 1-4 p.m. at the company’s suburban Chicago headquarters located at 7900 S. Madison St. in Burr Ridge.
Dubbed “Consignment Monday,” the monthly three-hour free event will allow individuals with items to meet with Mastro Auctions’ leading appraisers, including Brian Marren, an expert sports and pop culture authority and host of Mastro Auctions’ Collectibles radio show on ESPN in Chicago, and Nicholas Dawes, a well known Antiques Roadshow appraiser.
“We welcome anyone who has anything they are curious about to come see us,” said Marren. “Mastro has the resources to help individuals unlock the mystery of their personal heirlooms and treasures.”
Marren encourages individuals to bring photos of larger items. Appraisals are limited to two items per person, and it is not recommended to bring gemstone jewelry, furniture or stamps.
