LAS VEGAS – The Casino Chip & Gaming Token Collectors Club, Inc. () wrapped their 19th annual convention June 25, 2011, at the Southpoint Spa Hotel & Casino.
The club reported an amazing almost 900 walk-in visitors despite the economy. Among the highlights were the banquet speaker Skyline casino owner Jim Marsh and educational seminars by Doug Saito, Charles Kaplan and Lisa Medford, Las Vegas’ first nude showgirl and author of, “I Can Hear the Applause.” The presenters spoke on a number of exciting issues as pertaining to casino collectibles.
The show room floor was crammed with dealers and collectors for most of the three days the showroom floor was open and many purchases were made.
Next year’s convention’s tentative theme is “The Roaring Twenties!” The event will take place June 20-23, 2012 at Southpoint Spa Hotel & Casino. The public is invited June 21-23.
Casino collectibles continue to fascinate the public as exhibited by the tremendous number of walk-in registrations to a casino located quite far from the Las Vegas Strip or downtown. Visit the CC>CC wesbite for more information.
