ST. CHARLES, Ill. – If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video speaks volumes. One quick glance at the Chicago Suburban Antiques Dealers Association’s YouTube video featuring their Spring, 2011 show will illustrate the variety of offerings typically available at their renowned events.

This October, authentic 17th, 18th, 19th and early 20th century antiques gathered, researched and authenticated by 55 screened, hand-selected dealers from 15 states will be exhibiting in St. Charles, Ill., at the 37th Annual Fall Fox Valley Antiques Show.

The theme of the show, “Made in America,” reflects American ingenuity, innovation, and invention, along with a little imagination, allowing us to appreciate the designs of our forebears, no matter their homeland. Each antique offered for sale at the show will tell an interesting story of our American culture and, often, its links to our overseas origins.
Attendees are invited to any of the free, educational 5-Minute Antiques Schools taking place throughout the weekend. Join expert dealers for an entertaining series of mini lectures.

The Kane County Fairgrounds facility (525 South Randall Road, St. Charles, Ill.) with plenty of free parking, is the home for this well-established show. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 15 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 16. For more information visit csada.com or call 815-838-0606.

A not-for-profit organization, the $8 admission benefits local historical and educational organizations. Discount coupons are available on the CSADA website. Or, better yet, bring your “Let’s Play Archeologist” game card from the March 2011 show for a $3 discount.
