Gilt-adorned Ansonia Pompeii one of 50 antique clocks to go under the gavel Jan. 9

Embassy Auctions International of Kinzers, Pa. is set to start the year off right, with a Special Art and Antiques Auction set for Jan. 9.

This auction features over 500 pieces of fine art including:

  • Two Alexander Calder hand signed color lithographs
  • 30″ x 60″ Christian H Shearer oil on canvas dated 1899
  • Laura Woodward oil on canvas
  • Several Salvador Dali portfolios
  • Signed drawings by Andy Warhol

Also in this sale are over 50 quality antique clocks, including an Ansonia
 Pompeii black enameled iron case clock with gilt adornments, several calendar clocks, an oak Simplex time clock, a Mitchell & Son, Gorbals, Scotland tall case clock, ship’s clocks, mantel, gingerbread, beehive, steeple, regulators and many others. 
 
Additionally, an unusual collection of 50 antique telephones featuring oak wall phones, stick, and desk telephones from a local Philadelphia collector, ten early barometers, 3 Edison cylinder phonographs, a Morning Glory Edison horn and two nice Victrolas.

The auction will commence at 10 AM Wednesday, Jan. 9.
 Preview starts Monday, Jan 7th from 12-4 pm, Tuesday, Jan 8th from 10-4 pm and on the day of the sale opening at 9 am.
