RHINEBECK, N.Y. — The Dorothy Whitfield Historic Society and Barn Star Productions are teaming up to host the 45th Annual Guilford Antiques Show Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30 to benefit the Hyland House Museum, 84 Boston St., Guilford, Conn.
More than 30 diverse exhibitors will gather to display fine and folk art, period and country
furniture, jewelry, prints, maritime, pewter, stoneware, redware and accessories in the main gymnasium and entrance hall. Show hours are 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on March 29 and 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., March 30.
This year’s show also includes two new events which are part of the price of admission.
The first is a walking tour of the show, led by show manager Frank Gaglio, antiques dealer and estate appraiser. The tour, which will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, will feature some highlights among the items offered on the show floor.
The second event, “Antiques Appraisal Day,” will be held on Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. Nest Egg Auctions of Meriden, Conn., will conduct the appraisals.
Whether it’s a family heirloom, attic treasure or yard sale find, these appraisers will assess its merit and value. Appraisals are free at the show, but donations are welcome.
