MOUNT CRAWFORD, Va. — Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates – Auctioneers, Appraisers and Consultants in Mt. Crawford, Va., announces the appointment of Jill Fenichell as vice president to head their newly formed Ceramics Department and to expand their offerings of museum and educational services. She will be splitting her time between the newly established JSE&A New York office and the firm’s Virginia corporate office.
Fenichell has 25 years of experience in the ceramics field with specific expertise in wares from the 18th to the 20th century. Her past endeavors include CEO/proprietor of a ceramics-specific New York gallery and participating in antiques shows at the national and international level, including the New York Ceramics Fair. She has served as contributing editor and freelance writer for national trade magazines and journals including Ceramics in America, and lectured widely on matters of ceramic interest. Additionally, she has researched and cataloged private collections and served as consultant to private and institutional clients.
Previously Fenichell has worked at Christie’s, the Institute of Fine Arts at New York University and the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute.
