L.A. show offering best of specialists in one location

GLENDALE, Calif. — Roadside America LLC, producers of The Golden California Antiques Show, presents the third annual Antiques, Objects & Art L.A. Show and Sale March 9-10 at The Glendale Civic Auditorium, 1401 N. Verdugo Rd., Glendale, Calif. Fine art, furnishings, decorative arts, textiles, jewelry and more will be for sale, including ethnographic and tribal arts, Mid-Century Modern, industrial, folk art, fine art, Americana, RoadsideAmerica_1webSpanish Colonial, devotional, pop culture, advertising, mercantile, architectural and garden elements, scientific instruments, vintage books and more. The show is unique as it encompasses a broad array of divergent, yet complementary, themes and styles that converge to give attendees ideas of how to create a look that is singularly theirs.

Most of the exhibitors specialize in specific material, and many typically participate in shows relating to that field. Antiques, Objects & Art L.A. brings the best representatives from specialty shows together to give its attendees a smorgasbord of diverse, high-quality items. New exhibitors participating this year are Lynn Harding Antique Instruments of Ojai, Calif., one of the first specialty antiques shops in America dealing exclusively in scientific instruments, and Robert V. Gallegos, The Gallegos Collection, specializing in pre-1950 Native American kachinas, pottery, weavings, basketry, jewelry and more.

Show hours are March 9, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and March 10, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; admission is $12 (good for both days). Opening morning entertainment (9 a.m.-noon) includes music by Porterhouse Bob and Down to the Bone, a seven-piece New Orleans style funk band, and home-style cooking will be available throughout all show hours.
