GREENWICH, Conn. – Frank Gaglio Inc. announces a new antiques and fine art event for the community of Greenwich, Conn., Dec. 14-16, 2012. Antiques & Art Avant-Garde Greenwich will take center stage as a ground-breaking fund-raiser for two of Fairfield County’s most respected organizations: Bruce Museum and Greenwich Historical Society.
Seeing the need for a quality antiques and art show incorporating an avant-garde twist, this new venture will combine classic antiques, mid century and modern design, fine art, magnificent jewelry and architectural objects in vogue with today’s top designers and their clients’ tastes.
Event manager Frank Gaglio comments, “It is my esteemed privilege to be working with such committed and talented individuals whose goal is to dedicate their time and energy toward making this new fund-raiser a success. From our very first meeting, there was an energy and cascade of ideas all flowing in one positive direction rarely experienced at a time when every organization holds dearly to their benefactors. I look forward to our continued collaboration building our show for years to come.”
The event will launch with a Preview Gala benefiting both organizations the evening of Friday, Dec. 14 (tickets required), and will run through Saturday and Sunday Dec. 15-16. There will also be special events programming including celebrity appearances from some of today’s top style makers and art and antiques experts.
From marine art to majolica, fine silver to period furniture, mid century to modern, garden architecturals to vintage designer handbags, the show will exceed all expectations.
Internationally known, Westport, Conn., designer Lynne Scalo will add her brand and talent to the show by creating a display incorporating the theme “What’s Modern Now,” melding antiques and art with lifestyle comforts we all can appreciate.
