WHEATON, Ill. — Du Page County Fairgrounds will host the semi-annual National Civil War Show & Sale and Military Extravaganza April 20, 2013. It’s back by popular demand, and tables are sold out, making this an ideal opportunity to purchase historical artifacts from America’s military history from the Civil War through World War II.
Thousands of museum-quality items and collectibles from the “Great Civil War” of our country will be offered for sale to collectors and connoisseurs. More than 300 tables of vintage firearms, medals, uniforms, books, ribbons, tokens, historical autographs, coins, tintypes, Civil War era jewelry, drums, photos and much more will be offered.
The show will be marking the 150th anniversary of Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, by featuring noted author Don White, who has spent years studying the history of Abraham Lincoln’s accomplishments. White will make two presentations (11 a.m. and 1 p.m.) on “Lincoln & the Gettysburg Address.” His book, “Facts, Quotes and Anecdotes of the Civil War,” is a perpetual calendar of Civil War times and events. He will also have a limited number of copies of the Gettysburg Address available.
Show hours at the Du Page County Fairgrounds (County Farm & Manchester) will be Saturday, April 20, 2013, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission is $9 (children 16 and under are free with a paid adult). Parking is free. For more information, contact Zurko Promotions at 715-526-9769 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit www.zurkopromotions.com.
