If you’re still interested in fine antiques and collectibles, then the St. Louis Antique Festival is the place to shop.
This springs’ show will be held at the Belle Clair Fairgrounds April 25-26. Hours for the Show are Sat. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sun. 10 a.m.4 p.m.
The Belle Clair Fairgrounds at Belleville, Ill., has been home to the St. Louis Antique Festival for the past 18 years. Walter Sill, of Hendersonville, Tenn., created and managed the festival, holding two events – a spring show and a fall show most years.
Steve and Virginia Hallett, of Scottsville, Ky., bought the St. Louis Antique Festival after Sill’s semi-retirement. With more than 38 years’ experience together in all aspects of the antique business, the Halletts plan to expand and improve the show’s quality.
It will feature 100 top quality antique dealers from 32 states displaying and selling items including: Dresden, Meissen, porcelain, jewelry, Nippon, Orientalia, art glass, art pottery, bronzes, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, paintings, furniture, silver, china, country store, quilts, clocks, French Cameo glass, lamps, photographs, Civil War, coins, dolls, toys, sports, advertising, Paper, glassware, prints, statuary, majolica, collectibles and more. Many of the dealers are Associated Antiques Dealers of America members.
The Belle Clair Fairgrounds is located 6 ½ mi. off of I-64, exit 12, south on Hwy. 159 at Hwy 13. The show is held inside a climate-controlled building with plenty of free parking. Admission is $6.
