“Online auctions expand the marketplace to allow bidders anywhere in the world to bid and not just the local or regional crowd,” said Jimmie Dean Coffey, president, chief executive officer and founder of United Country – Coffey Realty & Auction. “As well as an enhancement to the live event, these Internet-only auctions can be less cost prohibitive for the seller, and the issue of in climate weather is a nonfactor.”
The Baxter-Gary Buskirk Chumley home was built by the Vonderschmitt family in the 1930s and was decorated with various pieces of art and unique antiques, many of which have been featured in Bloom Magazine. The seller is currently limiting this auction to only 70 lots, but may add more pieces as the auction progresses.
