Antiques and Appraisals in Greeneville, Feb. 16

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tourism Department of the Greene County Partnership will hold its Third Annual Antique Appraisal Fair and Antique Show, Saturday, Feb. 16, at Greeneville High School, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
In addition to showcasing its Antiques and Treasures brochure, the Tourism board’s event will feature certified appraisers assessing antiques brought in by the public. A fee of $5 will be charged per piece. Also featured at the event will be local and regional antique shops displaying and selling their wares throughout the day. Visitors may also bring items in for a live auction held that afternoon, 5-7 p.m.Local museums and historical attractions and an exhibit promoting the Andrew Johnson Bicentennial Celebration will also be featured at the event. The Antique Appraisal Fair and Show won two awards in 2007: the Pinnacle Award for Peak Performance in Tourism by the Northeast Tennessee Tourism Association and the Southeast Tourism Society’s Top Twenty Event for February.
