Catering to dealers’ needs earns Meadows antique show filled vendor spaces

BRIMFIELD, Mass. — Meadows Antique Shows Inc., one of the largest venues in Brimfield, is a family-owned business with more than 40 years of hosting experience. Through those years, they’ve had many celebrities, decorators and designers.

With more than 200 vendor spaces expected to be filled in 2013, they are reporting an eclectic mix of dealers this year, but they are best known for industrial and architectural salvage and great antique furniture.

When asked about advice she would give first-time show-goers, manager Elizabeth Christo offered, “Make sure to wear comfortable clothing and shoes! It is also important to know where you purchased the item, what field and the dealer’s name.”

The facilities at the Meadows are designed for the comfort of their exhibitors, which is one reason dealers return to the venue time and again. Site amenities include electric hookup, showers, night lighting, dealer dressing rooms and food concessions.

Christo says of their show, “We are a very close-knit group of dealers, as we have been together since the opening of the Meadows Antique Shows Inc. and are just like family.”

This year, their shows will be held May 14-19, July 9-14 and Sept. 3-8. Shows open at 6 a.m. and admission is free.
