Historic Lake Geneva’s newest antiques store

A new antique shop has opened in beautiful historic Lake Geneva, Wis. Geneva Street Antiques is located at 821 Geneva Street in downtown Lake Geneva, in the historic Maple Park District. As one of the few antique shops in this picturesque location, Geneva Street Antiques offers a wide variety of antiques, furniture, jewelry, vintage clothing, books, trains, and a wide variety of primitive, vintage and eclectic merchandise.

The owners, Ted and Terri Harig, have been in the antique business for the past 20 years. “We had always thought that we might like to open a shop in Lake Geneva. A friend of ours was wanting to sell his late 1800s house right off Main Street in Lake Geneva. Knowing our past in doing auctions, antique sales and shows, he suggested to us that we might want to open an antique shop in it. After much discussion and thought we decided the time to do it was now.”

Geneva Street Antiques is located one block south of Main Street in a wonderful late 1800s vintage two-story home. It features two floors of merchandise and offers eBay sales service. Geneva Street Antiques offers a layaway program and reasonable shipping services.

The Harigs said, “Since we opened in May 2008, we have had hundreds of people come through and they have commented on what a great shop we have. As new business owners, we are glad to be able to offer our customers an environment that they enjoy shopping in. Many people just like to browse through and enjoy the fine old woodwork and the good feeling they say they get when they walk through. Lake Geneva is really a wonderful historic town and we feel we’ve been able to provide a quality shop in a quality location for customers to enjoy.
