ROCHESTER, Minn – The May Gold Rush at the Olmsted County Fairgrounds in Rochester, Minn., opens May 11-13, 2012. Dealer set-up day is May 11 and the public is welcome to come and shop during the set-up day.
Again, the Spring Gold Rush returns with a bang for the first show of the 2012 season and now in its 40th year. Gold Rush is an indoor/outdoor antique and flea market event with dealers in 10 buildings as well as dealers outside covering 52 acres of the fairgrounds. The show is back on its regular Mother’s Day weekend.
This huge antique & collectible event offers more than 1,300 spaces with dealers from across the country displaying an immense variety of antiques. Many dealers come from Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Missouri, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Wyoming and various other states as well as Canada.
Shoppers find an outstanding selection of antiques and collectibles to interest the most discriminating shopper as well as the new collector. The selection will include china, porcelain, pottery, glassware, Victorian glass, clocks, coins, stamps, jewelry, stoneware, dolls, toys, holiday, sewing items, prints, furniture, primitives, Americana, linens, textiles, vintage clothing, quilts, militaria, advertising memorabilia, political, sports, brewery memorabilia, tools, fishing lures, post cards, autographs, oriental rugs, paper, books, lamps, fancy & funky ‘junque,’ arts & crafts and even a reference bookseller for the beginning collector.
