Hunting Waldorf Music Hall label’s dime-store vinyl records a satisfying quest

Once a familiar haunt of garage sales, flea markets and record shows – prime places to find budget-label records – collector Bill Bronk looked everywhere for vintage vinyl records from the Waldorf Music Hall label. In December 2010, 53 years after it was first sold by Woolworth’s, Bronk bought the LP "8 Top Hits" for $11 from an eBay vendor in Syracuse, N.Y., bringing to an end a long and sometimes frustrating but fruitful search to add all 48 of Waldorf’s "8 Top Hits" series LPs to his vinyl collection.
