Andy Warhol self-portrait sells for $17.4 million

A highly important, monumental-scale self-portrait by Andy Warhol (1928-1987) sold Feb. 16 at Christie's for $17,441,892 doubling its presale estimate. Recently discovered having been in a private collection since 1974, this previously unpublished work was executed in 1967 and is an addition to an historically important series of 10 self-portraits.

Postcards tell St. Cloud, Minn., history

Author Harold Zosel, a 48-year resident of St. Cloud and an active member of the Stearns History Museum, shares his personal historic photograph and postcard collection in “St. Cloud,” a recent addition to the Postcard History Series from Arcadia Publishing, a leading publisher of local and regional history in the United States.

Peter F. Stone, is an expert on oriental carpets and has written several books. Originally published 1981, this updated, hardcover edition of “Oriental Rug Repair, Step-by-Step Reknotting and Reconstruction, Care and Preservation,” was published in 2010.
